Hi.

Based on the given report you have the following:

10% of the sperm have Grade "A" motility (actively motile) &
25% of them have Grade "B" motility (sluggishly motile).

The "grade A" sperm have good progressive motility. They swim fast, strong, and in a straight line and thus capable of fertilizing an egg.

Whereas "grade B" sperm move very slowly, or they exhibit "non-progressive motility" - where they move their tails but fail to progress & this is often a contributing factor to male infertility since they are incapable of fertilizing a woman's egg.

As per world health organization recommendation, the motility should be 50% or more with grade A+B motility /25% or more with grade A.

So, the motility of the sperm is low whereas other parameters are within their normal ranges.

You need to have certain lifestyle modifications such as:

1. Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and stress.
2. Do regular exercise and try to lose your body weight if you are obese.
3. Wear loose cotton undergarments, avoid hot baths, laptops, saunas, etc.
4. Take nutritious diet such as sea foods, fresh fruits, meat, eggs and vegetables.

Consult a surgeon for further evaluation and to rule out varicocele as a possible cause for the reduced motility.

Hope the advice given above would be useful.
